The Philharmonic joins in ecological and social actions

Earth Hour

The WWF engages people all over the world in solving specific ecological problems. In Poland, this year's action takes place under the slogan “Wolf Hour. Become the voice of those who don't have one.” It aims to raise awareness of the need to protect wolves. Again Szczecin will join this global initiative. The Philharmonic will do so as well by turning off the illumination of the building for one hour on Saturday, 19th March at 20.30.

Blue is the colour of hope

Autism is a mysterious disorder with roots in inappropriate brain activity. Autistic persons have problems with speaking, perceiving the world, and understanding social relations. They also receive sensual stimuli in a different way. On 2nd April the colour blue will give autistic persons and their families hope for a better life.

The Philharmonic will join this global initiative called “Light it up blue” and illuminate the building in the city’s colours – the Floating Garden, on Saturday, 2nd April at dusk.
