Michał Janocha
Composer and conductor. He graduated from the Academy of Music in Poznań and majored in composition and symphonic conducting. He gained musical experience during the numerous performances of his works, including those taking place at festivals such as Warsaw Autumn and Poznań Musical Spring. Janocha is also a creator of interactive multimedia installations, among others ‘Going plastic’, ‘You are the sound’, ‘Organism’ (a collective project within the Malta Festival in Poznań) and ‘The Mark’ (related to propagating the idea of opposition to violence and aggression), ‘Going plastic’ song / installation for cello, polypropylene didgeridoo, sheets of metal and pumps.
He had the opportunity to master his skills under the supervision of conductors and composers such as: Ondrej Adamek, Vykintas Baltakas, Bálint Bolcsó, Leon Botstein, Gianvincenzo Cresta, Ayton Csaba, Peter Eötvös, Karlheinz Essl, Gyula Fekete, José Maria Florêncio, Reinhard Karger, Ramon Lazkano, Stefan Prins, Marta Ptaszyńska, Gesine Schröder, Zsolt Sőrés, Marco Stroppa, Tadeusz Strugała, Andrea Szigetvari, Helena Tulve, Chi Wang, Agata Zubel.

As a conductor and composer, he has collaborated with such ensembles as: Trans-for-Matha Ensemble, E-MEX Ensemble, Essential Ensemble, Philharmonic in Poznań, Philharmonic in Szczecin, Philharmonic in Rybnik, Orchestra of the Academy of Music in Poznań, Musique Moderne Orchestra, and Poznań Symphony Orchestra.

He was the 2017 Scholarship holder from the City of Łowicz for his artistic achievements, and was many a time winner of the scholarship from the Rector of the Academy of Music for artistic achievements.
